Default Phoenix HP-25 Suprise

On whim I picked up two .25s for a total of $125. One of them was this Phoenix HP-25. Dis-assembled, cleaned and oiled then headed to the range. What a nice little gun to shoot. Has a kind of strange manual of arms with the magazine safety, but a good trigger for a pocket pistol. Rear sight is adjustable for windage, no lock back on an empty magazine. Got her sighted in to minute of beer can at 10 yards. If you want an inexpensive pocket pistol you can find these used in the $75-100 range. Very decent gun,

Keep it well oiled/greased. I have never had a gun that tried to start rusting so quickly. It performed fine though.

Nice. I used to know a fair amount of folks who bought the Phoenix Arms HP-22 during a sale a few years back for about $99, and although they all had decidedly low expectations of the pistol, they all ended up satisfied with their purchase and went on to recommend them afterwards.
Only one of them ever reported an issue, a breakage of a part which occurred after over a year of frequent trips to the range with High Velocity ammo, (can't remember what it was exactly) and Phoenix Arms sent him a replacement part free of charge when he contacted them about it.

Disabled the mag safety on my hp22 as it was terrible and obnoxious.
