Default Old school Sig

I found a nice Sig P226 at the shop today. It's a West German made pistol. It has holster wear but it's in very good shape. The guys at the shop said it was the personal sidearm of a retired city cop.
One mag, but the orange cardboard box which is numbered to the gun. It's a 1988 model.
The box says it's a P226-K. Anyone know what the K means?
I thought it was a pretty cool find.

Sounds like a CPO gun with the box description. CPO Sigs are solid guns. I’ve owned a couple, a P229 and a P2032pro. Love to see some pictures of it.

Check out the Sig forum. Younger bunch than here, but just as smart about their weapons. I think the K may indicate the finish.
