On my called shot story on a previous thread, I told about leaving my shotgun, Browning hump back in camo at my ground seat against a tree while I took my Garand to safari up some pigs.
After we went to town to eat lunch, returned for the evening hunt. This is in South Texas with red sandy loam soil. In April and it had rained buckets the night before.
Anyway, we returned to my spot and both Turkey decoys are down and there are several pig tracks all in the area. went over to my Browning which was laying flat on its left. Spotted a 12 empty shell sticking out of the ejection port. Seems when the hogs were walking over everything in the area, one of the pigs hooves stepped on the safety-disengaging it and back of hoove hit trigger discharging gun into the back of the seat I had leaned against a tree. Dug copper coated pellets out of my seat and relocated to different area.
Glad I was not sitting there asleep when they came by.
Hunt ended up being a dry hole-no turkeys or hogs. Hogs did kill my camo leaner seat, so I guess they came out ahead this time.
