Default Two Very Different Dalton's

Robbie Dalton is considered by a few to be somewhat controversial. The recurved blade, blue handle knife probably raised a few eye brows. I'm sure some antifa nut job would love to have it, but to me it's a reminder of Vietnam. The other, grey handle Dalton, goes with me every time I put on my pants. I rarely use it because it is a survival knife and I want it ready when needed, just like the early (large button, no safety) Benchmade I carried in my flight suit while flying Army fixed-wing A/C, and my big Gerber for helicopters. I keep an Al Mar fighter in my truck for the same purpose. Heh heh, in Panama I carried 4 blades. Issue folder, SRK, the Gerber Mk11, and a machete.

Brian, my old gun show partner said you can never have too many knives on your person. I don't know about that, but there are circumstances where you do need more than one. More knives to come. Enjoy.

In my old age I'm down to 2 EDC knives. A SAK Tinkerer and a folder similar to the top knife, by Emerson/Kershaw.

I usually have three with me, a small fixed blade and SAK on me and a larger fixed blade in the vehicle.

Love the inscription on the blue one...

Those recurve blades look cool but I hate them for sharpening!

I will be showing my modest collection of Al Mar and Chris Reeve knives as soon as I take some pictures.

Thanks for the memories!

On one of my brief sojourns in Panama I carried 6 knives. I can't even recall all of them anymore; too many years ago. But I know I had a Swiss Army Knife with me, a tactical folder of one brand or another, a Cold Steel neck knife, and a Kabar type of knife that concealed perfectly underneath my USN jungle fatigues because the shirt was worn outside the pants. Indoors, when seated, I just tilted the knife and wrapped the shirt around it. Nobody really cared and only just a few actually knew I was carrying so many edged tools, anyway. There were six but two of them have slipped from my memory. I made a couple more trips to Panama but I had become comfortable with the environment so I cut back on the weaponry.

Paradise at half the price. Down there every campasino (sp.?) walking down the road had a machete in his hand. The PDF had automatic weapons!! And they didn't mind pointing them at you.
