Mini-14 Magazine Spring

I've been trying to find a replacement spring for a 10 round mini-14 ranch rifle magazine. Brownells, Midway, and Wolff sell springs for 5, 20, and 30 round magazines, but not for the 10 round magazine. I emailed Ruger and was told that they don't sell magazine replacement parts and that I'd have to buy a new magazine instead of just the spring. This is wrong of course because Brownells, Midway, and others sell many Ruger factory mini-14 magazine parts such as the magazine follower MS03000, the magazine bottom MS03400, and the magazine bottom retainer MS02600.

In short, does anyone know where I can buy a replacement spring for my mini-14 10 round magazine? I'd hate to have to buy a new magazine when all I need is the spring. Thanks.

I've heard of people using ar mag springs, no clue how well this works out though.

Cut one down from a 20 round spring

Should have stocked up on 20 and 30 rnd mags like I did during freedom week last year.

I complained to Ruger about only being able to load 9 rounds in one of my 10 rnd mags and they sent me a whole new mag free. They will take care of you if they can.

Used AR Mags that had hole drilled to fit my first Mini 14.

Well, not really. Just because someone sells them to individuals doesn't mean that Ruger does. See if they'll sell you 10,000.

Well this will probably make you mad. It was about getting a replacement spring for the 10rnd mag I could only get 9 rounds in. I told them I considered the possibility maybe the spring was slightly out of spec.
