Default Ruger 77/357

Picked up a slightly used one recently.
I shot it a few times to make sure it was sighted in at 100yds. I was Shooting 38 specials.
I’m proud to say that my son has taken claim to this rifle.
He rang the steel in his first 5 out of 6 shots.

I love pistol caliber rifles for some reason. A ruger 77 is always in the back of my mind but I haven’t found the right one yet

I am a fan now, I thought I wanted a Marlin lever in .357.
But I realized I like bench resting a firearm.
The Ruger 77 is tough to beat. It shoots .38 special plus the magnum .357 .
Trigger is great. Not to light not to heavy.
My son absolutely loves pulling the trigger on this rifle. He has visions of taking it on a hog hunt.
He is 9.
I have never hunted. So I have my work cut out for me.
Plus I have to get him into shooting .357 mags.
I also have an accurized Ruger 1022 and he thinks it’s okay.

I’m thinking now of a 77 in 22lr.
Or a CZ455 with a threaded barrel
I’m excited. I have a shooting partner.
