I’ve wanted a Bearcat since I was a kid. The ones I run into are in sorry condition with happy prices. There are a couple other repeaters from same era and made in New England. Fiala ( spelling ??? ) Must have had most stay in New England cause I haven’t seen that many at shows.

Interesting gun. It was called a Bearcat?
The only Bearcat I am familiar with is the little one in the middle of this photo - did the trademark run out? I bet so, or they never had one....

I think Fiala was absorbed or bought out by High Standard and maybe Colt was in the mix too. They had guns with barrel sets with detachable stocks. Something else I always wanted was high quality 22 pistol with stock.

The plastic grip panels were stamped “It’s a Bear”. I have seen one of these several years ago at a show, don’t recall where.
