Stevens No. 65

anybody familiar with these ? this seems to be the only info on it

I’m not sure but I think I had one of these Stevens that I found in old house. I gave it to my buddies boy when he was 7 or 8 yrs old. He still has it and it shoots well. The only reason I remember it was magazine tube moves with feed system and Boy Scout logo was in stock.

The picture and the description show and tell of a Stevens Model 66.

There was a Model No 56 rifle from the same period. The same rifle but it used a 5rd detachable box magazine instead of the tube feed magazine.

The Mod 66 came out in 1930/31
The Model 56 came out in 1935.

Both discontinued in 1948/49

There was years earlier a Stevens Model 65
A 22 single shot rifle called the 'Little Krag'. That was discontinued around 1911 or there abouts.

So you have Models 56,,66,,65

I think it's just a printing error listing the wrong Model # of 65.
To match the rifle pictured and described it should be a Model 66.

Prob why i couldn't find any info
