Hi Power grips. Sweet!
My Lok grips came today. Perfect fit and finish. Ridgebacks are the baby bear of their line...not to smooth, not to coarse. Also a tad thinner than stock. Just a perfect grip. Biggest problem was deciding on a color. Almost went burnt orange but so happy with OD green.

I prefer Spegel's on mine but yours look good and fit your hand. That's what matters.

On a carry Hi Power my favorite are the Spegel designed Uncle Mikes rubber grips.
The Spegel profile is perfect, and the rubber is the perfect compromise, being soft enough to grip well, and yet not sticky feeling like many rubber grips.
That said, practicality aside I prefer wood on anything remotely Hi Power.

I'm still using the Altamonts, which are the thinnest I have found.

I'd love some Spegels on my 2nd gen (these are Hogue), but I love the factory grips on my 69 T series and would never swap them out.

I've got 3 HPs, one with G10s, a new .40 which I put Spegels on, and these, which came with the gun. They are by Esmeralda apparently (I had to research them), look great and apparently go for a hundred++; but if I were actually carrying the gun, I'd have Spegels on it.

If I'm not mistaken, the Uncle Mike's grips were essentially licensed copies of Spegel's grips in rubber.

Hi Powers are as tempting as Lugers. Too many good guns, too little money. Very nice, SIP.

I wanted the Uncle Mike’s but they are about as hard to find as a Snow Leopard burger at a PETA convention .

Navridex Grips
I recently put Navridex grips on my Hi-Power and they are great. The gun now has about the same grip circumference as a stock GI .45 ACP.

I would like to try a different set on mine but it has the lanyard ring pin.
Is that simply driven out of the grip frame or is there more to the removal?
Like a doctor, I first want to cause no harm.
Replacing the panels on a FEG I have with the rubber Spegels was no trouble since the pin was not present.

Oh, BTW, I was reefering too, I mean referring to the characters you hang out with. We have spys in Pasadena and Pamona. The safe house is is above a music shop on Colorado Blvd. near the intersection of S. Wilson. And a cell with high power benocs in an avacado grove South of Fallbrook. The most Northern group is at Chico State, but they have mostly just been drink beer for the last 45 years. The VA still pays their tuition for some reason.
Excuse the spell;ing as our incryption is on the fritz.
I love thumb print HP's

Nice work with the curly maple, Walter. Do you make stocks for other guns?

Don't carry
Since I don't carry this Hipower, went the other way with grips to fit my large hands.
It too, has the same grip circumference of a 1911. A double stack 1911.
Don't know manufacturer, bought them off eBay a few years ago.

This is/was a 'project gun' that the jury's still out on.
It was to be a hard-use stand-in for my much nicer Browning.
Started life as a FEG 'FP-9' variant. Weird slab-sided slide, minus the forward 'cuts' on a HP slide that make it so recognizable. And an equally strange vent rib atop it.
It shot good, but just couldn't go with that look.
Got a basic unmarked FEG standard slide from Numrich, swapped over the extractor, FP, related springs, etc. Put Novak carry sights on it.
Grips are VZ, and I thought the OD green would go with the hard-use designation for the pistol.
So, in the end, I spent more than I should and really should have gotten a Regent in SS, but in looking, there are none available.
