Sure, that’s an old German scope. Dialytan was a Hensoldt Wetzlar model and I believe they were bought out by Zeiss before WWII. The top turret adjusts elevation. Windage adjustments were done with the mount. According to Stroebel, Col. Townsend Whelen was a big fan of their products.
There may be markings under the cap on the ocular housing. I suspect that is a pre-war commercial scope, but I’m not sure. It’s probably worth a few hundred dollars if the mechanics and optics are good.

The maker Hensoldt, Wetzlar should be marked on the elevation cap. Not all Dialytan scopes were military issued but also used by hunters and the military scopes usually came with the special mount for the K98k, hunters used the SEM.

Hope ya do post it over there and hopefully it is of sniper variety. I have always subscribed to the theory that if World War 1 or 2 German it's gotta be worth serious cash. Collectors go crazy over the rifles, daggers, scopes and badges. Gotta watch it though the fraudsters are a dime a dozen!!
