I've always lusted after a Ruger #1. I find the lines to be very elegant. A fellow Trooper that I first went prairie dogging with had a custom HB Ruger #1 built in 218 Mashburn Bee. I settled on a Thompson Contender Carbine with a Bullberry Barrel Works HB in 218 Mashburn Bee but it's still not a Ruger #1. It was the sweetest little rifle even with a 24 or 26 inch barrel, it was a super sweet shooter. I lean towards the heavier clean profiled barrels and would also love one in .223 due to availability of brass and great bullets.

Years ago I had a #3 in 375 Winchester, NIB. Had it for years resisting the temptation to shoot it until a collector came along that wanted it way more than I did.
Always wanted one in 223. You have reignited the itch
