Default Why not?

My Uberti Cattleman doesn't have the four distinct clicks of a Colt. It is supposed to. Is there a fix maybe?

Some of the new Uberti have a revised action that partially retracts the firing pin. I've read that those have three clicks. Apparently, differentiating between the models with different actions is problematic.

I'm not sure, but maybe my limited experience with the Uberti could be why they changed the action. I had the Cattleman, also. And it had the 4 clicks. Something in the action broke so I took it to a reputable Smith in the Pittsburgh area. He replaced some springs & doohickies and then it worked better than ever. He told me that the metals were so authentic in the Uberti that they used the same as the metal from the original Colts. The parts he put in were modern metal and more reliable. He said he'd repaired others the same as mine. Maybe Uberti changed their action because of this? Someone with more experience in Uberti SAAs would know more; this is only my guess. FWIW, my daughter's Heritage .22 SAA has 4 clicks. I had a Heritage .357 mag and it only had 3 clicks. Of course, this doesn't explain why all the old Colts are still going strong.

The new ones don't unless you get the model that doesn't have the retractable firing pin.
And yes, if you swap out the hammer you can get the four clicks.
