Springfield TRP
I am picking up a Springfield TRP 45acp in the next couple of weeks and I was looking to add more mags to it.
It comes with 2-7round magazines and I was wanting to pick up some 8 rounders.
I have always been a 1911 guy so Wilson Combat was my first stop but upon checking Google....I see some people have issues with Springfield 1911's and Wilson mags.
Has anyone else who has a TRP/Springfield 1911 ever experienced any issues?
The Wilsons I have always used in other guns never gave me any problems so this was a surprise to me.

I carried a 1911 of some sort for about 40 years of my LE career. The "Tripp Research" Cobra mags were the most reliable that I ever found and I stopped carrying the other brands. They worked well in my 1911 Colt, several Les Baer's, an Ed Brown, and a Wilson so I suggest you try the Tripp magazines.

Haven't tried the Tripp research magazines but have never had issues with Wilson Combat or Chip McCormick brand magazines. Try out several different brands and find out what works best for you.

I own 4 Springfield 1911s. No TRP, but I do have an Operator which is close. All my Springers work just fine with the Wilson mags. Never malfunctioned once. They're the only mags I use for competition or carry.

Carried a TRP for several years with McCormick mags. Never had a problem. You will want something with a base pad because of the magwell.
The only magazine issue I had with the TRP was with my Tactical Solutions .22 conversion. The baseplate on the .22 magazine was wider than the magwell, and they would not seat.

I’ve owned a handful of 1911s over the years and Chip McCormick and Wilson Combat mags have always been reliable for me.

I've had several TRPs, never any issues with Wilson mags. I carry 1911s and shoot them in action pistol, I run mostly Wilson and Chip McCormick mags, they've been very reliable for me.

Have 2 TRP's . As I've got a slew of 1911's I've got a bunch of mags . IIRC it was the 47D's that some reported having problems with . I believe Wilson has a newer model that is trouble free . I've never had an issue with Wilson mags , Checkmate mags are good , Tripp's are good . If one gives you problems , new springs , followers are cheap & feedlips can be fixed most of the time . IMHO mags , internal springs are considered consumables in a 1911 platform .

Wilson bought CMC in like 2018, so you'll be alright with them, so as Tripp and DL Sports.

TRP owner, I've used the factory S&W magazines, Wilson, Mcormick, SA, Nighthawk all with zero issues.

Mec Gar makes outstanding magazines for the 1911. I have thousands of rounds through mine without a single problem. And they are priced right.
