My brother and I each bought one years ago. Really nice and good performers, as I recall. Made in Japan by Howa I believe-Howa still builds top-notch rifles.

I got one of these when I was 12...for a Christmas present. Nice shooters with minimal recoil. I'd like to have it bored and tapped for a screw-in choke system, but it would probably cost more than the gun is worth.

My father used one in the 90s waterfowl hunting. Every few years the forearm would crack due to the 3" magnum steel shot but it was very reliable otherwise.
