Just in case
I was doing my normal daily browse of AIM Surplus' website about 10 days ago and checking the handgun section. I noticed they were showing to have NIB Gen3 Glock 19's in stock. While I am not a big Glock fan I figured with the possible political climate change it would not hurt to have a extra handgun. Especially one of the most popular ones. If the Joe man gets in the more hi cap handguns I have the better. If another panic buy catches fire I already have several firearms bookmarked for selling on Gunbroker. Also picked up a few extra magazines to give me a half dozen.
I wondered when mine was manufactured because I did not think Glock was making any more Gen 3 G19's. Dropped them a email asking for the manufacture date and imagine my surprise when it came back as 8/19/20. I bought mine on the 4th and received it on the 7th, in my hands 19 days after it was made.

There's a recent thread about Glock Gen4s being discontinued, and it mentioned that Gen3s were going to continue being made because they're already approved for sale in some restrictive states, like CA, that restrict the sale of Gen4s.
Glock 19s are good to have. Even though I prefer hammer-fired DA guns, I imagine I'll probably get a Glock 19 or two to add to my collection at some point.

I've got a Glock 19, gen 3 that I purchased last year for $300. While it has minor wear I thought it was a great deal. I'm not a huge fan of Glocks overall but these days I like having two of them! If things cool down they are still money in the bank. Not to mention this example I have is very smooth and has a very good trigger pull for a Glock. I can't say that about all of them, even compared to my G48 it is superior for some reason. Nice move OP, nothing wrong with having a Glock in the stable or on the night stand.

I stumbled onto a new 19x in July for $589.00. Some days God just smiles on us!
You should really enjoy your new 19. Congrats.

Nice grab and good you picked up a couple extra mags. If you buy the right ones, you'll also be able to use them in a 26 or 17 if you ever come across one of them. There's also some Pistol Caliber Carbines that use Glock mags that would be a great partner to your G19; like the Keltec Sub 2000 and the Ruger PC Carbine. It's nice to have magazine compatability. Plus...you can use this as justification to your better half when she asks why you bought this one? Well dear, I already have magazines that fit it...I call it "magazine justification."

Yup, I have a Glock pattern AR9 pistol with brace and a Polymer80 style G17 clone. Lots of 17rd mags, a few 21rd and a 33rd as well. A G19 with a 33rd magazine in it looks a bit strange.
