One Reason, (of many), That I Like This Place
Some of you my know that I mentioned a USA made fillet knife for my Daughter. She has a birthday coming up soon and that is what she wanted as a gift.
A long time member here, Narragansett, replied that he had a 40 year old Schrade, Uncle Henry model, that was unused. And furthermore, if I was interested, he would send it to me if I would only pay the shipping cost.
Of course I agreed, and before the end of the day, he had polished it up and it was shipped. He shipped it before receiving shipping payment, and as I remember, I had to ask several times for his mailing address.
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I received the knife 2 days later, but I was blown away. As you can see, it's beautiful!
It's a pleasure dealing with folks like Narragansett, thanks again Sir.
Have a blessed day,
Leon

That knife looks great. I agree with you 100% that the people on this forum are some of the most thoughtful, generous, smart. I have had several wonderful experiences with forum members too. I do not participate in social media besides this forum and happy to have found such a kind group of people. I am sure the birthday gift you give will be cherished by your daughter forever.

I have one, not for sale or gift. I like it. Also a shorter one. Schrade did good job on these. Handles are Staglon, a form of Delrin.
