KAHR PISTOLS - TRIGGER QUESTION
The thread regarding AR triggers reminded me that I have been wondering if there are any improvements (short of custom gunsmithing) available to get a cleaner break on KAHR triggers?? Thanks.

Can you define "cleaner break"?
I have a CW9, PM9 and P380 and all have wonderful DA trigger pulls...

Cylinder and Slide in Fremont Nebraska has done a lot with Kahr’s. They are nice folks. You might try calling and asking. They did a package on mine.

Ever Kahr I have ....about 7 or 8 has a perfect trigger out of
the box. Just like the best double action trigger you ever fired.
Except they a lighter. That is the one reason I carry a Kahr.
Shot PPC for a number of years and it is just natural to me.

MCarbo
Not sure what you mean by "clean break".
I put a MCarbo trigger kit in my CM9. Lightened from 6 lbs. 3 oz to 4 lbs 8 oz.
Feels smoother on the long trigger pull as well.

I wonder if the OP is after a two-stage trigger like you get on some rifles. Nope, that isn't how the Kahr, Sig and Ruger DAO triggers work.

Thanks for the comments. Maybe I should clarify what I mean by "cleaner break"...I think the pull is long and a bit sloppy, but that could just be in comparison to other pistols I shoot. I have 3 KAHR pistols and think they are great for EDC, I was just hoping there was a simple solution to tightening up the pull.

I know I’ve mentioned my PM45, (and my other PM’s,) in another thread recently but I didn’t get into it.
Even though Kahr said do not shoot lead through the polygonal barrel I still did. I thought that my super hard cast hand loads “might” work. Nope.
The bullet did exit the barrel but the slide stayed partway locked back, (actually bound back,) and the right side of the grip expanded/blew out.
I sent it back to Kahr for repairs and actually told them what I did. It came back perfect, no charge with a note stating they had also done some extra work on it.
Before it went back it had a very smooth 6 1/2 lb trigger pull and when it was returned the trigger was just as smooth and now 4 1/2 lbs. I don’t know what they did but it sure made a difference. I’m not that interested in them enough to work on my other PM series pistols to duplicate what they did. I’m sure once you figure it out improvements can be made. The triggers are nice the way they originally are though.

I have always been impressed by the trigger pull of my PM9.

I purchased an MK9 Micro Stainless about 17 years ago (used) and thought the trigger pull was too long and heavy. At that time, Kahr's website had the Elite trigger kit for sale. In my hangar I had a press to remove and install. It made a big difference. I don't think they sell those parts any longer. That pistol is one of my favorite carry pieces. Unfortunately my hand strength is not what it used to be and I have a tough time with that HEAVY recoil spring.
