Default Wife's fault

It's my wife's fault. She heard about a local gun shop that had a virtual shooting gallery that's like a life size video game. She said it sounded like fun and I should meet her there after work. So I got there a little early and looked around.

They had a Tisas 1911. This is an all steel copy of a WWII era Colt 1911 A1. Only difference is it has a lowered ejection port for reliability. It was 439 brand new. I had to have it. Now I have an excuse to go to the real shooting range next week.

BTW-the shop had 9mm ammo on the shelf tagged at 24 per box. Some can still be found I guess.

Sounds like a good woman to me, especially if she isn't mad at you for buying a new gun. Most of the time I see folks talking about their wives on gun forums, it's about how their wive is either angry or will become angry over a firearms purchase.

Tisas 1911s are of excellent quality based on what I've read, they're basically the new Rock Island Armory when it comes to high quality value-priced 1911s.

Handled a Tisas G.I. 1911 the other day at a pawn shop, very tempting. If I hadn't already lost my mind over 1911's (I've bought three this year!) I would get one. Same day I handled a $399 Rock Island G.I. 1911 at Rural King. For that money, everyone should own a 1911....

I think guys don't believe me when I say this but my wife encourages me to buy guns because she knows it makes me happy. When she arrived at the shop she saw me holding the Tisas and asked if I was thinking about it. I said that I was and she replied "Buy it."

I have a matching pair of 1950 44 Targets I got from an out of state dealer 15 years ago. They weren't cheap but I had wanted a 4th Model 44 Target for a long time so when I saw a pair being offered I bought one of them. When the wife came home I told her the story and her response was "Why didn't you buy both of them?" I didn't have a good answer to that question so I called the dealer and grabbed the second one.

I read about men hiding gun purchases because the wife would be angry or seeking the wife's approval to buy a gun and that's just foreign to me. My wife has never been like that.

Tracy and I shoot matches together. I buy a gun for her or me whenever I want to, if we can afford it. Same with any other purchase. No need to hide anything, we're in this together.

A few ago I’m East of here heading back to town on I40.
I look over ar the East bound side and see a BMW Z3 sitting there.
I had one at the time so I U Turn my SUV and check it out.
The driver was sitting up on the side of the road in the shade.
I say, say it ain’t so! The Llttle Beemer’s down!
He say, I’m out of gas.
It’s his wife’s car. I forget exactly how he explained it, it really didn’t make sense anyway.
She’s in California and he’s out of gas in NM.
And it’s her fault! Say What?
I got him gassed up and smoking East.
With the final warning, when you leave a Town, leave Gassed up!
This is true whether you have a wife or not.

my friends were giving me a hard time once, I asked my wife about a rifle I was interested in, she said "you can only by it if you get another safe" bought both. They said I had a wife that only let me buy things under her conditions, they are right but I can usually live with her conditions.

I only have to answer to me but my last wife was great about guns, she carried one all the time and even hid one in her car's trunk (she was paranoid about being kidnapped).

As for Tisas, having had some positive experience with Turkish firearms in the past, but not being fond of 1911s, but being VERY fond of metal framed, traditional double action pistols, and wanting a full size .45 ACP pistol to accompany my CS-45, it's only just a couple of months ago that I treated myself to a SAR K2 C, a new Turkish design that caught my attention. A very nice gun if I say so myself.

I said to myself, "Oh, you know you want it", and nobody was around to stop me, so................
