Stoeger Condor O/U 16 gauge
Just bought this gun. Paid $410.00 LNIB never fired. Can't find any info on this gun in 16 gauge, only the other gauges. Anyone know anything about this gun like years made, how many made, how it shoots etc. Any info greatly appreciated

I can’t help you regarding production data.
The gun is generally well thought of as a solid, reliable o/u. Not as refined as many others, but at a price point that makes them a good ‘using gun’ for the field.
The 16ga is a great upland hunting choice, particularly in settings that allow lead shot (not so great for migratory waterfowl).

I have a 20 ga Condor as an upland field gun. The O/U purists turn their noses up at them, but it works just fine for me. I gave $300 off the used rack at my LGS a couple of years ago, and I don't think that it had a single box of shells run through it when I bought it.

I also have a 20 ga. 3 inch chamber field gun. I bought it late 2003 and the serial # is 5 digits followed by -03. Not sure if that means made in 2003 as I could not find any serial # listings. Try an E-mail to Stoeger. I got info from them when I bought mine. The bottom barrel fires first. The chokes have notches on them to identify what they are. 1 notch = Full, 2= Imp. Mod., 3= Mod., 4=Imp. Cyl., 5= Cyl.

Not a lot of 16 gauges are manufactured these days, especially if you don't want to pay in the thousands. The Condor definitely looks like it is worth a look.
I've been looking for a reasonably priced 16 myself. Mossberg used to make a 16 pump but that was a long time ago. So now I have drifted toward O/Us. The Condor looks like a decent buy. I would like one with a selective trigger, like the Savage Stevens 555. With the Condor, the lower barrel always fires first.
Did you get a full set of chokes?

How about you, fox320, full set of chokes? If not, can you order them from Stoeger's? Most people probably install two and never use the others, but it seems like it would be nice to have a full set.
Despite reading that 16 gauges are real bargains on the used market, I sure don't see them at local gun shops. One local shop had an older 16 SxS with a cracked stock for about half what a new low-end O/U would cost. Fixed chokes of course, and double triggers. It's probably an ok deal but if I go to two barrels, I would like an O/U with removable chokes.

Haven't picked up the gun yet, will today. The seller said it doesn't have choke tubes, just fixed chokes of IC & M. Will keep everyone informed.

It's been discontinued but the CZ Mallard was a good over under. TWO triggers, (best choke selector ever made), extractors, and manual safety. I have a 16 gauge, but it's an older Ithaca SXS and it's my favorite upland game gun.
