I had read articles a few months ago about Glock coming out with this new gun. I haven't seen anyone advertising it yet, so I called Glock about it. They told me it has been out for almost 2 weeks now. They told me to call my local gun store that sells Glock firearms to see if they had any in stock yet. We only have a small mom and pop gun store here. I called and asked them if they had any in stock. The owner kind of chuckled and asked where I heard of such a story about a G22.5. I told him Glock told me. He said they lied to me.
I called a few gun stores in the big city 50 miles away and 2 of them had them in stock. Price, $629.

How many guns are too many?

They’re out there. Glock has been mfg’ing it for Brazilian Police for close to two years. They’re finally hitting the commercial market here. I’ve seen them but don’t own one, I’m a fanboy but not big on the Gen5s.

This is why you simply cannot trust everything the folks behind the counter at your LGS tell you, they're unfortunately seldom well informed, yet somehow feel confident making definitive statements regarding just about everything.

That's what really separates a wise man from a fool, a wise man is wise enough to admit when he doesn't know something, ergo he won't mislead you by answering questions that he doesn't actually know the answer to. If a fool who fancies himself as knowledgeable doesn't know about something, then he claims it doesn't exist.

That being said, they obviously do exist, and they really don't look any different at a glance than a G17 Gen 5, so if you look up picks of it, then you've seen a G22 Gen 5 as well.
