I agree, looks like it can handle anything you will run into here in the Lone Star state. I hope your season goes well and you butcher a few hogs with that knife, glad it will be used.

Nice looking knife, it reeks quality.
If I ever am blessed with one of those, I won't use it, but will admire it, take pictures of it and store it in the Gerstner Memory Box.

I recall reading somewhere that Bo Randall liked the Model 3 with a 5" blade as the best all around hunting and utility knife. It was based on the Scagel knife that got him into knifemaking in the first place. He liked that he could get in and out of his truck without the knife getting in the way. I can't fault his logic there.
I'm glad it found a good home, and I hope it sees a lot of use this hunting season!
