Very nice little CZ you have there. I wonder how it would group with military ball?

In the late 80's I bought a CZ 22 Hornet. Turns out, they were a bunch barreled actions that a US vendor put the cheapest plastic stocks on. I think the actions were marginal because the factory target was 3 shots in 1 1/4" @ 50 meters. I never got that rifle below 2" @100 yards! THAT's the bad news.

The good news is, that is the slickest small action I ever worked with. Looks like you have a great varmint gun!

Those 1885's shoot like a house on fire. I have one in 38-55 and am quite pleased.

I had a bolt gun in 22-250 that loved Federal Premium 55 grain and a friend had a Cooper 21 in 22-250 that loved Black Hills 60 grain.

My first venture shooting it I shot the ball ammo.
Nice tight groups.

I later tried my 75grain hand loads. Not so good.
Tumbled/key hole
It Grouped in feet.

Then I researched that this CZ527 has the 1/10 twist rate.

So that’s when I reloaded the 40grain.
It shoots that really well.

I’m happy with it.

The Browning 22/250 is my neighbors gun. It has an octagon barrel.
The bluing and wood on that gun is amazing.
He is gracious in letting me shoot it.
His hand loads too.
I’m spoiled.
