Default What is your favorite handgun

I'm thinking this has been asked, if so please delete, but I don't mean saws, because of being saws, I mean your favorite?
For me it's my gold cup 80, ive done everything possible to it, it shoots great, but the 45 has always been my favorite ever since I was a widdle boy, toy 45s, franklin mint 45s, now a colt and a para. How about y'all.

You just asked. Who do you like best, Mom or Dad and what is your favorite child, all in one question.

My favorite would be my iver Johnson 22 supershot.... its not worth much, its ugly as sin, and I can't shoot it worth a darn.... but it was my grandpas. I've got literally thousands of good memories of my grandpa carrying it squirrel hunting.... ive seen more squirrels felled by it than any of my rifles...

Geez...that's a tough one! Given all the different .22, .357 & .44 DA revolvers, and SAAs...and all of the fun surplus pistols in .32, .380, 9mm, and revolvers chambered in oddball Euro-calibers, plus .22 semiautos...

I suppose if I had to pick one, I'd consider which handgun goes with me most frequently when I'm heading to the range. And that would probably be the first handgun I ever bought...my Ruger MKII Tgt., with 6 ⅞ in. tapered barrel. It's phenomenally accurate, very reliable, and always fun. I suppose a very close second would be my S&W 2206.

It would have to be my K22 that was my dad's. It still looks great and shoots even better.

My most used would be my Model 14-6. However, my most favourite would be a Model 27.

Default What is your favorite handgun

Can’t pick one gun, but i can pick a “model” .......

This has, over the years, finally become crystal clear ..... my K-22’s of which I have quite a few variants. They are just works of art and so much fun to shoot (for shooters of all ages). This is an Outdoorsman from 1938.

Smith and Wesson Performance Center Model 67 F-Comp. Finest revolver I've ever shot. Bought it as a gift for my then-spouse. Our split was amicable, and I still ask her to sell it back to me. She wasn't smart enough to stay married to me, but she's smart enough to keep the gun. Looks like I'll be stuck buying the Model 19 or 586 version, which they now call the Carry Comp.

Any Flavor of 1911. Been carrying one on and off since 1975. The off years had me carry department authorized revolvers (S&W) and semi autos (S&W+GLOCK). Once retired, back to the 1911’s for the most part.

God gave me two hands so I am
Going to pick two.
Model 17 on left side and a model 14
On the right. If I had one more
Hand it would be full of a 5" 27-2.

I will pick the one that has been shot the most, carried the most and canceled the birth certificate of the most critters. A K22 has been my main carry gun since 1964. The same one. Before that it was a Ruger S-6. Also carried HD Military for awhile but always went back to the K22. Liked them well enough they survived and I still have them.

In today's exciting atmosphere I must forgo selection of a classic revolver or auto. So at least for now I select my Glock 17 and 19 for their performance capabilities as my favorites.

Definitely my 1972 m66 that belonged to a Memphis Police Officer killed on duty but a P220 and my 1916 DWM Luger have to be included in the conversation.

No semi auto's for me . It's going to be a revolver and it's going to be a 41 magnum . I can load it down to shoot like a 38 spl or load it up to shoot like a 44 magnum . I'll take my model 58 w/the left hand holster rig I have for it . My 2nd would be my Ruger NMBH in 41 magnum that is highly customized , 4 5/8" barrel . Regards Paul

Sort of easy for me, any one of my 3 M66-no dash. One is from my hometown PD.
Actually all 3 were previously owned by local LE, just not issued duty guns.

We’ve seen this question before and it usually seems quite a few of the respondents have more than one “favorite.”

In my own case, with revolvers I always have trouble choosing between the Model 19 and the Model 29, but with autoloaders there’s never a doubt - the 1911. I suppose if I had to say, my favorite would be a 1911 setup somewhere between a mil-spec model and a bullseye gun.

It's got to be either one of my .41 Magnums, one of my .45s,
one of my .38 Specials, or one of my .357s. Sometimes it varies
by the day.

My Ruger 22 pistol circa 1952 that was my dad's. GOt some age spots on it but it still goes bang when you pull the trigger and the bullet goes where the muzzle is pointed.

My 1954 mfg. Heavy Duty with grips made from a very unique elk antler get my nod. Even with different grips, I'm still going to say it's my favorite.

I can't pick one individual handgun, but I look at my modest accumulation and have to say the Browning Hi-Power is my favorite.

Like most here, it is a decision akin to picking a favorite child. Aren't we grateful we live in a country where we don't have to choose just one?

The one that means the most to me is my pre model 30 that was my grand dads.

The one I was looking forward to getting the most is my 3" 66-2.

The one I carry and shoot the most is my Sig P365.

When I had to sell off guns after I lost my job it became a question of what I could probably replace easiest. My handguns were acquired for various purposes so it would be very hard to say which one was my favorite.

I'll play my broken record.

A 3" Baby Chiefs Special that the "Men" of the 106th Precinct in Queens, NYC, gave their lieutenant for Christmas in 1953.

Another Air Force Chief friend of mine said it best: "Even if the Baby is ugly, we still love the Baby."

This little dickens climbed into my heart before I got it cleaned up, and it's simply grown on me more and more as time goes on, especially this year.

Well, this is a toss up for me, but I would say the M28, although the other side of the coin would be the M15

The one that made it possible for a young tanker to live long enough to become an old tanker.

My favorite changes from time to time. Right now, it's my Star BM9, which sounds strange, since I have several more modern pistols. I got into it cheap, it was in superb condition, and shoots tight and is comfortable. It's the cheapest handgun I own which means a lot to me. I don't guess it shoots any better than most other 9mms, but is controllable.

I'm gonna have to go with Kurusu on this one. It's like saying, "Who's your favorite child?"

But, when "push comes to shove," and I can only pick one, it would have to be this Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. It's not my most accurate handgun. It's not even my most favorite to shoot, but it's the one I've packed the most and the longest for over thirty years. It has gone on practically every pack trip with me back in the days when I was doing at least five big pack trips every summer plus a couple in the fall. We were in black bear country and never once did I feel under-gunned. It can handle the heavy loads without a whimper. I've loaded it with 260-grain jacketed hollow points traveling at 1450 fps and it does just fine.

So, like the old saying, "You go home with the one who brought you to the dance," this is the one who brought me to the dance, so I guess I'll stick with it.

S& W M-66-3, four-inch. Very versatile, and stainless.

Also very fond of M-60-4 and Ruger SP-101 .357 and GP-100.
Three and four-inch barrels. Favorite snub is M-60-7.

Fave autos, Colt .45, CZ-75B and Beretta 92FS.

This is really tough. I don't have many guns, and I like each of them for different reasons. Not sure I really have a favorite. And if I did, it would probably change depending on my mood and the situation.

There are a couple of guns that would be the last ones I would part with.

The first would be my Series 70 Colt Gold Cup National Match. Partly because it's just a really nice 1911, but mostly because I inherited it from my dad. For that reason I would never carry it or use it for self defense...too much sentimental value.

The other is my Beretta 92FS. It was my first handgun, purchased some 25 years ago or so. I've shot it more than any other gun I've had, somewhere in the neighborhood of 5k rounds, used it in most of the training classes I've taken, and I've always tended to shoot it better than anything else I've tried, including the aforementioned 1911. It currently serves as my home defense gun, and I do plan on eventually getting some carry gear for it.
