If you don't have a chronograph, get one. Experimenting with .38 Super loads is great fun, but without a chronograph, you can't know what is going on. Real results can be significantly different than published results. I found loads hundreds of fps below published data.

Hi Gamecock.
I've had the same Oehler Model 12 chronograph since 1979. The space above the screens where the bullets pass is "plum wore out!"
There's no use in playing the handloading game without a chronograph.

In looking over on the STARLINE Brass website, all popular handgun brass is sold out...but the .38 Super, .38 Super +P, .38 SuperComp and 9x23COMP are all still available...
...sometimes it is good to be "different"...

I used a 38 Super Colt outside the USA where NATO Cal were not allowed, was told 9mm no way...how about a 38 Super....Fine. My Factory ammo ran 1310 FPS. Way more deadly then a 9mm NATO Rds.
