Default My Other Old War Horse 1911A1

This 1944 Remington Rand, at first look appears to be all original, including the General Shaver mags. Correct slide marking for the time, High Standard barrel, hammer, trigger and main spring housing. No arsenal re-work marks. However, upon a closer look you can see the barrel has been park'ed and the SN and inspector marks lack the burnished appearance when they would strike those after finishing. Soo, it looks like it was refinished by someone, likely a unit armorer or arsenal without marking it. Either way, it is a tight, accurate pistol.

I like it. Many USGI 1911 and 1911A1's have followed me home over the years. Enjoy shooting it.

It is always a pleasure to see a good 1911 but it is more pleasant to film it. Congratulations.
