I bought one of these a couple years ago and today I finally got around to firing it. I went over to my neighbor's place, as I heard him shooting and thought I would join the fun. Well, at 25 yds. I didn't even hit paper in about 20 rounds. Embarrassing to say the least. It bugged me after I came home, so I went out back, set up a target, and fired about 7 or 8 rounds at ten yards. I didn't hit paper. Tomorrow I will declare it a "belly gun" and shoot point blank and see if I hit anything. I have been a decent shot with revolvers and my other auto jammers, but this one has me buffaloed. Nice quality pistol, though. Anyone have experience with one of these?

If you are right handed, willing to bet you are pushing your shots low left. The L O N G double action trigger pull on the Sccys take a bit of practice to get used to. You really have to go back and focus on the fundamentals with slow deliberate shots to get used to the trigger pull. Start close in 5 yds or less then gradually move back and gradually increase tempo of shots. You'll get there.

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to shoot one. As mentioned above, it has a L O N G trigger pull. This will test just how much you pay attention to your shooting basics, especially your sight picture/alignment/follow through. It is an accurate pistol, and I had no trouble keeping shots on target out to 10 yards. I've been tempted to buy one myself, but with all the S&W's and Rugers, I really don't need it.
:-) But I do like the color choices and that it is Made in USA and the Lifetime warranty follows the gun.

Exactly what you said. I have sold a lot of them in my shop and always explain the L O N G trigger pull to buyers. Other than that, a great pistol for the money.

I had one a few years ago and found it to be pretty accurate at 7-10 yards. Of course, at the time, I was also shooting my S&W Sigma alot so, long long trigger pulls were normal to me.

My wife's buddy has one and she cannot shoot it worth a damn. She has the hands and wrists of a 9-year old. I had a go and had no trouble with it at all. I only shot it at 7 yards, but accuracy was acceptable off hand. Have you tried shooting seated with the gun supported? That'll soon show if if you are pulling shots low. It did for me when I was pulling a Kahr CW9 low when first shooting it.

I have a SCCY2 and it has been very reliable. On the bright side once you get the long trigger pull down you DA revolver shooting will also improve.

Yeah, pull is long enough that my attention wanders. Other than that, amazing deal and reliable. I broke an ejector and still worked fine.

I have a SCCY-2 I bought three years ago. I found it shot low with 115 gr ammo, but shoots 124 and 147 gr at POA. I bought Azoom 9mm snap caps, and practice dry firing with them. The action smooths out a lot and the pull is not lighter, but a lot easier after the break-in work. With the current prices of 9mm, I found it easier to shoot just a couple of magazines accurately now, instead of seeing $50-60 go "up in smoke" before I pull out my .22 and throw a couple hundred practice rounds downrange.

What you are experiencing with the Sccy2 is not that unusual. The gunshop where I previously worked sold a bunch of the Sccy's because they proved to be a good value for the money. However, whenever someone brought a gun back with a complaint about it's function or accuracy, one of us would take the gun out to the range and try it out before we would send it back to the factory for the issue. 99% of the time we were able to determine the issue was operator error or it was a simple issue that we could address ourselves (mag springs in backwards, recoil spring re-installed backwards) and save a lot of time and shipping costs. If the complaint was an accuracy issue we would shoot several types of ammo and then return the gun to the owner with the test targets. My point is this, we learned how to eliminate MOST shooting errors with the different trigger systems, by slowing down and focusing on the basics. It was a VERY RARE occurrence when we found a true issue with the gun.

I think you are dead on with the trigger pull issue. I "think" I found myself pulling down left. I will give it more time and practice. I'm not really blaming the pistol, in fact, I really like it. Functions great, and I like the all black color, built stout.
