Smile Additions to my Ruger Collection

.22 Long Rifle Automatic Pistol, 7535, original box and shipping carton...1950. Blackhawk .44 Magnum, BKH47, 16790, original box and shipping carton...1959. Grips on the Blackhawk are elephant ivory by Nutmeg Sports (2002). It great to add complete packages to my collection of Ruger firearms. Click on each photo for a much better look.

Bill

Nice guns!
I find my fledgling SR collection growing too. Last one I bought was a 1977ish 7 1/2Ē Super Blackhawk with the manual box and shipper. Though not advertised as such, Iím thinking mines not been fired. It has a faint turn line but no residue on the cylinder face or between the barrel and top strap. I havenít pulled the cylinder because the bluing is much nicer than other Rugers I have and Iím afraid Iíll mess it up.
Your 3 screw flat top is a beauty! The ivories are the icing on the cake!

It's as though you have a time machine hidden away.
I always enjoy you sharing pics of your collection. The old Rugers have a place in my heart also.
Thanks!

Red eagle grip didnít bill ruger change the red eagle to black when his partner passed away.?

I always knew in time Rugers would become collectable too.

In 1976 ruger sold guns with the 100th year bicentennial inscription on them. I seen the Ď76 police gf32 357 made for that year that was never in the catalogs. Now a Ď77 gf32 was offered for $750 with no inscription. It sold in a few hours. Seeing this I wonder what the Ď76 gf32 inscription is worth today?

With Rugers I noticed models change. I seen a unshot vaquaro in 45 LC/7,5Ē barrel polished stainless with shipping box and yellow box. Itís no longer made in 7,5Ē barrel.

The Ruger monogram was changed from red to black following the death of Alexander Sturm on November 13, 1951.

Very awesome. I’ve always liked old Rugers, especially the early Lightweight Tri-color Single-Sixes.
