I bought an ADE RD3-006A green dot for my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 just before this Covid-19 mess started. I've had unexpected good luck with it after about 700 rounds. It stays stay set and has never failed me yet. I believe a 9mm or larger semi-automatic pistol would beat the hell out of it, but it works great on my Ruger and it would probably work good on S&W Victory too. It made my Ruger Mark IV a lot more fun to shoot. I got this one on Ebay for around $70 with free shipping. Ebay has a ADE RD3-002 red dot listed for $44.62 right now with free shipping. Not everyone has had great luck with the ADE red or green dots, but mine has worked great so far.
Glad it's working out well for you. A lot of times, those 'el- cheapo' optics can be a 50/50 hit-or-miss at best. If those were around years ago, I probably would have tried one instead of the Burris FFII that I have on my Buckmark 5.5 Field. But, back then Burris was about the only game in town for those micro red dots.
With this ADE green dot I can hit 6" steel targets a 20 yds pretty consistently. I can't do that with open sights unless I really take my time. I looked at a lot of different green/reds dots before I bought this ADE, but they cost a lot more than I paid for my Ruger 10 months ago. I'd like to put a green or red dot on one of my 9mms to see if it improved my shooting as much as it did with my Ruger, but I doubt that this ADE would last very long on them.
