I personally think that the USP45 Elite is the best-looking model, it looks like an oversized Walther PP.

I'm another HK fan. I've only got the VP9 and the VP9sk...but that's a fine looking 45. It's hard to find better ergonomics in a handgun.

HKs and M&Ps are the plastic pistols that I like.
I have more than a few of the USP family having bought a
USP9 on the first day they were out and the same for mu USP45. Both are serial numbered in the 600s
When HK decided to do the colored frames, I thought I would be going bankrupt I decided the Coyote Tan was my favorite and the only color I would by.
I do have a Coyote Tan HK545 Tactical, but at this moment I do not have a photo of it. This is my bedside gun. It has a suppressor mounted to it and I am using one of the 20 round high capacity magazines
My USP45 Tactical is also Coyote Tan. The USPs have a larger grip diameter than the HK45. After all the standard capacity magazine of the HK45 is 10 rounds while the USP mags can hold 14 rounds in the standard capacity magazine.
I think it looks real good with the Osprey suppressor on it

Without a doubt, the Elite has some sexy lines to it
The Elite is an incredible shooter.
The other nice think about the full size USP family of pistols is that they can safely chamber and fire the 45ACP, 45ACP+P or 45SUPER without making any changes to the firearm. That 6"+ barrel along with a 45SUPER cartridge is an amazing combinations

The USP 45 Expert is the sexiest. The Elite looks like it needs a nose job .

That suppressed .45 is absolutely great for inside home defense. After you stop shooting you can still hear.

My vote would be a USP match with stainless slide, then the Elite, Mark23, and finally a tactical.

I like the USP Elite and Expert, but my caliber is 9mm. I can also use a jet funnel kit which improves the grip by giving me a little more at the bottom to hold onto.

As a long time HK aficionado, I appreciate all of the above 45's. But I have to say I believe the sexiest HK in 45 is the USP compact stainless. Hopefully 1 of the more skilled on the forum will post a pic.

I had HK 91 rifles and loved them, and when the P7 first came out, I passed thinking I would get a used one cheap when they were out for awhile! I'm still waiting 30 years later!!!

My vote[I wished I owned one] would be for the P9S Sport model in either 9mm or 45ACP!

I'd have to go with the Expert, followed by the MK23 for the "raw strength" look.
If only HK could get it together and produce an amazing trigger. The pistols will survive about anything the planet could throw at them, they are utterly reliable. I really, really like them. They just also have fairly awful triggers. If my MK23 or USP had a trigger like the one Langdon does for the Beretta's or that the Sig guy did on my P226, they'd be the hands down best pistol of their type.
I'm wanting to check out the HK45 compact tactical but can't find one to hold anywhere. I don't want to drop 1k for something I'm not in love with.

Well there you have it - thoughts? Other than it's an HK and obviously works, what's your picky review of it please? I'm having to learn without being able to touch one in this instance.

i had rotator cuff surgery before i had a chance to shoot it but i can say that all 3 of my HK's feel great - i don't have large hands for a guy that's 6'4" but when i'm holding any of them they just feel like they were meant to be there since birth haha! all kidding aside the ergonomics are fantastic - i have the .45, .45CT and a P30L and they all have GREAT ergonomics - the P30L feels the best TO ME but all of this is subjective - try and get one in your hands

I like the “sand” (FDE) look on almost any gun. So ugly it’s cool IMO. I have a South African R1 in “nutria brown” I picked up for the same reason.

I like the old models the best if we're just going with looks. I had an model 4 (380) that I really liked but it got away. P9 has some class.
I have a P30 and a HK45 now. I like the HK45 as far as a functional military pistol. I know it isn't a military pistol but it should have replaced the M9. That was it's sole purpose in life from the very beginning of development and HK hit a home run with that model. I have a P30SK LEM that I'm still trying to like. I shoot my two Sig P239's a lot more. Just shot one of them yesterday. Might have to use that P30 as trade bait.

I like my HKs, I have a USP45 with a stainless slide, but that thing's frame is the color of baby diarrhea.

In my previous post. How about with a Randall Raymond Thorpe Bowie for good measure. A Mk-23 with Silencerco suppressor.

These are the 3 HK .45s I have - and I'd pick the one at the top - the Mark 23 - civilian Mk23 SOCOM pistol. It will do everything except make scrambled eggs.

Not my gun just a stock photo of what I Have. It's a Lipsey's special ceracoted slide to match the frame. Not available here in CA. I got it in 2014 before they did away with the SSE. We can still get USPs which I also have. 2 45 Elites, 2 usp compact 45s one in LEM, and a FS USP 45 with a 6" barrel and 18#recoil spring to shoot 450 smc. Keeping my eye out for a 45 Expert.

Just a side note the 10 round HK45 magazine will work in the USP 45 Compact, but not the full sized USP 45. First thing I tried when I got my HK45 home and was later confirmed by HK CS.

Don't know how or why but when I accidentally shot my TV a few years ago with my Elite I don't recall my ears ringing or hurting. Was with a warmish Buffalo Bore 185gr Barnes too.

I am definitely glad that I picked up the Mk-23.
But adding the Silencerco Osprey really made it a piece of work.

Well, after seeing all these replies, I'm still of the opinion that the Mark 23 is definitely the sexiest. Here's mine, presented here with its faux suppressor.

I visited the factory one time and was allowed to try all their current production back/back. The USP stood out, it fit me perfectly, highly accurate. Loved it. This reminds me to look for one.
