Default Not a S&W shotgun but need advice.

Hi, I can't get on mossberg's forum, but was hoping someone here could help. I have a mossberg maverick 88 security model. I had a side saddle installed so a hole was drilled to install the side saddle. It fell down on one side at the range, so I preceded to disassemble it. All the disassemble videos on You tube show all the pieces I have except this piece in my first picture. Does anyone know where it goes? Also, I reassemble the gun to the best of my ability according to the you tube video, and the elevator is exposed out of the shell release with the action closed. Thank you all.

According to the Numrich site, that part is the ejector. I have no clue where it goes, but given its purpose I'm sure you can work it out.

Ejector, 12, 16 & 20 Ga., New Factory Original | Gun Parts Corp.

Adding:-

Got this off the Mossberg site. My Google Fu is strong today. Ejector is part#15 and is retained by the screw part#38.
