New Constable In Town....
I have wanted an Astra Constable for some time now. Found one on GB that had “make an offer” for the price. I offered $350 and the seller accepted. Arrived today.

Looks like a generic PPK to me.
Its a 380?

I had a .380 Constable. It was well built, but at the time I couldn't afford to shoot it much. They've got a good reputation.

Have you done a line for line comparison with a Bersa?

Negative. I just always liked the look of the old Constables. They also did a pretty nice blueing job on them. My pics don’t do the finish any justice.

I've owned PPk/s and PP in 32 & 380, and I owned a Bursa 380 for almost 2 hours. The Constable is not as good as a Walther, but close! The Bursa is a cousin, that just isn't in the same family!

Very nice! I always liked the Astra Constable.
Constable trivia: Freddie Prinze from “Chico and the Man” killed himself with a Constable in 1977.

I have one of the new PPK/S’s. They are top notch, the Constable is a close second. Never owned a Bersa. My sister in law has a Bersa .380 and really likes it though.
