Onomea,
I hadn't seen that one before, thanks. Any guesses as to what year, since they talk about the .32 & .38 Safety, and no mention of the Hand Ejector?

Sistema1927, I think it is 1928, per the upper left hand corner.
The ad does say, "...Call on the nearest reliable dealer today. Let him show you his splendid stock of Smith & Wessons, including the .32 and .38 calibre S. & W. Safety..." So the implication that there are plenty more models available is there.
(Like that snooty "calibre." )

I think that it was that exact Glock ad that led me to buying my G-26 during the 94 ban. If you had to be limited to 10 rounds, why not carry 10 rounds, and a couple of quick 10 round reloads?

Maybe if y’all keep it up, that fella’ that lied about starting this thread will come back. I doubt it, though. He’s got a lot of baggage to carry . . .

I have this pistol, but mine is newer, it has an accessory rail.
Got it LNIB (unfired AFAICT) for the whopping price of 300 bucks plus tax and transfer.

I wanna play.
This is an ad taken from the September 1983 American Rifleman where Colt is introducing their new “firing pin lock.”
Edited to add: I just read the fine print at the bottom of the ad. Despite all the marketing hype in the ad about safely carrying cocked & locked, the mouse print at the bottom says don't chamber a round until you're ready to shoot.

Maybe I should get in on this more often. Have lots of advertisements going back to the 40's and maybe earlier.

The ladies from EAA. Please delete if regarded as inappropriate. I don't see how it could be inappropriate considering these ads appear regularly in Gun magazines Eg. American Handgunner.

Sometimes those things seem like a better idea in theory than in practice...
I am glad some guys have jumped in. Definitely enjoying the old ads.

I guess the ad is showing how H&K's will feed anything, even when the cartridges are in magazines backwards!

Here is a few 1989 ad's from U.K. Magazine called Handgunner. The Walther P88 ad actually showed nipple. I covered it up for our sensitive viewers and I didn't want an infraction too.
(Sorry for the poor photographs. There's just not enough "Likes" in this thread to be bothered scanning them and then uploading).

I have a little wooden box like the one in the first pic. If I store ammo in it, the ammo turns green and the lead corrodes.

Here are some Ads for a design that folks love to hate, the .410/.45 Revolver...
Sadly, I couldn't find one for the Magnum Research BFR.

That is box for competitive shooters. I too, have a box like that in my collection. Never have stored ammo in it though. Probably the wood reacting with the brass & lead.

I would have stocked up back then but since it was pre-ZIP Code I figure I would have been about 8 years old.
