Default Are these BHP grips Spegel's?

As they are unmarked, I have no idea. In my net
searching, it seems that his grips are the only ones
checkered right to the edges. All others seem to have
smooth borders. Thanks for your input.

I'm leaning towards no. I checked all of my Spegel Hi Power grips (2 Wood, 2 delrin) and can say that none of them have any semblance of an hour glass figure when looking at the rear profile. The "palmswell" is more vertical - thicker at the rear of grip, tapering to the front. Also, all of them are fully checkered all the way to the border, where as yours appear to have a slight bevel at the rear (may just be the picture or wear). If I had to guess, I'd say Navidrex, they make wood grips as well as synthetic. I've got a set of their thin grips, and the checkering looks very similar.

I’d say no. Craig has signed and dated the back of his creations for 20 years, if not more.

Even if not, they are a nice looking grip. I had a pair of "no name" knock offs back in the 90s when I owned a HP. I loved them, and my wallet did too.

Those look like some Navidrex I had some a Hi Power a few years back. As I recall the Navidrex tended to be thinner than stock grips.

VictorLouis, I tend to think they are not Spegels. I have a couple pair, and the profile from the rear is different than those in your photo. BTW, my Spegels were purchased in 1995, and are marked as shown with his name and date.

FWIW, mine are signed in gold and dated 2002 (right panel), left panel is stamped CAS.

Nice looking grips!

But, I agree. I do not think they are Spegel, even though they look to be nice grips. I would only add that the Spegel that I have had or seen, the inlet cuts on the backside seem to be "cleaner".

When I found the thin black synthetic Navidrex and felt them on a BHP, I put them on all 3 that I have and carry, and sold my Spegel sets. To me that combination is the most natural and comfortable fit on any pistol I have ever shot.

Several years ago, CDNN sold some nice but inexpensive grips similar to those. I bought a pair, but didn't care for the way they felt. I sold them to someone here on the forum.

Ditto,,,,,,,,,,, he was tired of knock-offs being sold as his grips

Pretty sure 6GUNSONLY nailed it: those look like Navidirex rosewoods.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I certainly agree that they seem to be the Navridex. Now I know to look for a stamping for actual CS grips. Appreciate it.
