at Academy Sports today. Factory mags for the SP2022 9mm, fifteen round capacity, $39.99 each. The mags rang up at $44.99 each, so the assistant manager and I walked back to verify I was mistaken. No, I was correct. No one had been instructed of a price increase so the shelf prices had not been updated. I got mine for the posted price.

If you go shopping at Academy Sports, pay attention to the pricing.

On a similar note ...... local store here had 4 Sig brand factory P220 mags. I thought they were mis-marked at $29.99 each. Then I realized they're on their "50% off" shelf too.

You guessed it, got them for $15.00 each!

I paid and got the heck out of there before someone nabbed me! LOL

Best deal I ever got on mags was when a LGS was going out of business, bought four Beretta 92FS Type M mags for $50 OTD.

LOL.... OK it was 15 years ago but a LGS in the Burg was trying to clear out 6 or 8 92-M mags..... $15 each.

A decade before I bought my first M from a local Police Supply house in anticipation of the 1994 AWB. Overruns from a Dept gun order mags were "in bulk" but only $20 each IIRC.

Based on my previous experience I figured their cost was $15/mag.

FWIW my understanding is the M's were for Lts and up and Detectives... uniform officers had 92 FS Compacts.

Wow, that's pricey. I'm glad you got the lower price but the increases in magazine prices is just another of the panic factors.
