Brought home an old friend...
Today I brought home this well worn Springfield TRP...
I carried this very TRP as my duty gun for a number of years, and traded it off several years ago on another 1911, after switching to an M&P 9mm for duty.
Well, it showed back up in the LGS display case a while back... I was finally overcome with nostalgia, and decided to buy it back. I put all that wear on it myself, so it's nice to have it back home.

"Reunited and it feels so good..."
Very nice. While they hadn't been sold, I've had a few guns in storage for a couple of decades and I was recently able to reacquire them. It's definitely a great feeling. Wearing one of them, a Colt 1911, on my hip right now.

It's always nice when the prodigal son comes back home. Welcome home
Springfield.

Unless it was a true dog that you managed to get rid of, I've always believed it was a sign from the "Gun Gods" that you were supposed to be together when an old acquaintance re-appeared.
