Default Finding your "Grail Gun"-sort of.

Several times I have found my Grail Guns-sort of. I have one of the extremely rare US Arms-A.I.G (Mossberg)
Abilenes. Mine has the 4 5/8" barrel, I was looking for the 7 1/2 barrel, but the price was right-and I haven't seen one since. 30 or more years ago I purchased a nice 1966 Colt Detective Special and a 1968 Colt Official Police-at a good price. The DS has the nickel finish, I would have preferred the blue, but...the Official Police has a satin nickel finish that is very similar to my Colt Combat Commander. Only one I've seen. Waiting for me at my one FFL is an S&W M&P 5 screw-in nickel. I would prefer a blue one, but considering how few I've seen.....

My "Grail Gun", would be any nicely engraved gun, be it a revolver, pistol, rifle, or shotgun. Since I've retired, and almost reached 90, I no longer have the time to get on an engraver's waiting list. Having a limited budget, puts the quietus to buying one already engraved. I guess that I've waited too long to acquire one. I guess that I'll have to be content to look at my two Colt commemorative pistols. One a .45 1911, and a .22 Ace.
