Default Birthday score...

Birthday yesterday, and my brother surprised me . He is not at all a gun guy, but he had a friend who had moved away and left a couple guns with him that he had put away and basically forgot about. He was asking my wife what I might like for my B-Day and she said something to him about the guns. Tweaked his memory so he brought them to me all wrapped up including the poorly stored rust. I was thrilled! I like all this goofy stuff. A really nice Marlin Glenfield Model 60 and a Stevens 940 single shot shotgun. I had already bought myself another S&W "J" frame 36 (early flat latch w/Herrets) and my wife gave me a High Standard first version "Supermatic" 22. So all in all a really good birthday gun wise!
Now just to track down some .410, a caliber I did not previously own!!

That’s a cute little Model 36. I used to use a set of Herrett’s stocks just like those on my Model 35, and still have them lying around here somewhere. I always liked them. Congrats on your new guns, and “surviving another birthday.”

I agree, it has been stored away a long time, very little use ever. I asked a friend if he knew of one and he remembered buying it at a gun show over 20 years ago and had never fired it. Decided he probably never would, so it came home with us.
