Default Hard to go wrong with Benchmark

I love mine. Easy one hand open, locks tight when open, sturdy as can be, and sharp. This one has served me well for about 5 years. The only reason it hasn't been much longer is, I tried to get on a plane with my first one clipped to my jeans. Needless to say, someone from TSA got themself a really nice free knife that day.

I'm sure there are other brands out there of equal or even better quality, but this one to me represents a great balance of quality and affordability. I haven't tried others to compare. When I lose this one, I'll get another one.Quality folding knife recommendations?-fb4edb1c-2135-4cde-aa82-1ff947adf923_1_201_a-jpg

I absolutely love my TOPS Mini Scandi Folder. It's the right size, cute and made in Italy.

I also have a TOPS MIL-SPIE 3.5 T but it's bigger, bulkier and not as cute.

I really like Benchmadeís fixed blade knife for buschcrafting or things like that.
If we are talking about long lasting and always sharp knife it will be the Buck 110, of course.

I would rule out any knife that requires the use of two hands to open. No liner locks either.
Benchmade, Kershaw, and Spyderco are very good knives.
I carry a Benchmade Mini Griptilian every day and love it.
I have larger knives, but like the unobtrusiveness of the smaller ones.

It is a personal preference to be sure. Lots of fine knives out there.

I tend now to gravitate more towards Spyderco for EDC. Just my preference. I think part of the reason is that the design reminds me of the cheaper knives I'd get as a kid in the 80's. I was probably last of the generation that had a pocket knife before 1st grade. Just a tool and used it camping and such. Obviously, much better quality.

The fact is there are many, many, good knives and manufacturers these days.
