I think I'd rather have every version of the Python and a vacation to Playa del Carmen. Though I imagine the buyer already has every Python.
That's crazy money.

I agree. For about the same price you could have a couple of Pythons and a box of ammo.

Aptly named, as bidding on that beast would seriously constrict my account. HOLY cow.

Was following that gun, nice rare piece in great shape. Just glad I don’t collect them, Larry

Can't for the life of me figure out why these went from Meh when itroduced to a rare and favoured item. All these guns were merely dress ups of the new Trooper Action or in the case of the Anaconda sized up, which in and of itwself was nothing really worth writing home about-The Smith and Ruger actions were every bit the equal if not better and they has two points of lock up as opposed to the one point lock up of the Colts.

Not worth it IMO. I could buy quite a few nice guns for 32K.
I'd rather have a Registered Magnum

" two points of lock up". Many Rugers have three!
I own a few Colts..count them on one hand..just because they are nice..but NOT 5 digit nice.

Interesting points raised by our esteemed counselor. There were other 'dress ups'. I remember shooting alongside a Deputy Marshal who had a Mark V Colt with a ventilated rib, the quality and finish of which were almost crude. Not a Boa, if anyone can supply the model name... The Mark V Lawman I owned briefly was already out of time and the grip angle, while comfortable off the range, rendered the gun painful to shoot.
IMHO, these guns are not worth much more than their original MSRPs. Obviously, somebody's MMV.

Funny
Wasn’t the Boa a “welfare” version of the Python, using the Trooper frame/guts with a Python barrel?

They have the Boa, Python and Anaconda.
Maybe if they had a green snake version I could afford it!

I remained in the times when Colts were named after Cops instead of snakes.
