The 1 that came back!
I did a lot of research on a Bersa Thunder Pro 9 before I purchased one new. Don't remember the date though. Maybe 8 years ago. Shot it once and a while and it functioned flawlessly.
My sons both got their got their CPL the same day. My youngest son wanted a gun for carry. I gave him a real good deal on it. He carried it a few years. It then got thrown into the bottom of a filthy closet uncleaned.
My wife went to my his trailer 1 day, and found him dead on the floor at 36 yrs. old. The gun had nothing to do with it. We took a FEW items, the Bersa being one of them. Not happy at all with how it came back, but it did.
I took it apart and cleaned it up well. It went to the gun club for falling steel plate practice recently. I am new to that sport, and it once again functioned flawlessly. Bought a 3rd. mag, and ready to go.
How many of the members out there have experience with them, be it good or bad? Bob

Interesting how certain items mark and milestone times in our lives, be it good or bad.
I don't have a Bersa 9 but appreciate you sharing this.

Not a Pro 9, but have had a Bersa Thunderer .380 for around 10 years. It is smooth, easy to function the slide, light trigger, and plenty accurate. It has never malfunctioned, but I can't shoot it any longer as my wife has claimed it.

Very sorry to hear your story, but to answer your question, my wife had a Bersa 22. I guess it was called Thunder or something like that. That little thing was a gem. It would choke on bulk pack ammo from time to time, but with CCI's it was a Singer sewing machine. Great little gun. I forget now why we ever sold it.

I had a Bersa .380. Sold it within a year or so and have never purchased another.

I already had a PPk in 32 so I don't know why I bought a Bersa 380. that gun had burs that cut my hand, it jammed on Silvertips and ball! I had it maybe 4 hours returned it to FFL, It cost me 15% restocking fee. Best money I ever spent. Two months later I got a used West German 380 PPK/s and kept it about 30 years.
Father-In-Law's wife had the 22 model, it was great, I tried to buy it but she still has it.

I have owned 3 of them and they all ran flawlessly. Kept the last one as it did not have the lock.
Triggers on all three were smooth and consistent.
I think that they are a great value!!

BERSA pistols are well-built weapons at a very reasonable price, in Argentina most shooters learned to shoot with a .22 caliber BERSA, I have a couple of them and I never had problems, all the people I know who use it don't I have complaints.
The BERSA 9 mm, is the service pistol of several Police departments.
The BERSA factory gives a lifetime warranty to the owner of the weapon, even if it is not the first owner.
I know Mr. Benso Bonadimani who is one of the three founders of BERSA and I can assure you that he is a person with a great spirit of personal improvement. His son Federico is in charge of the factory today and from what I see he has the same spirit as his father.
