Whats not to love on a CZ 75 of any flavor? You will be stunned at the ergonomics, accuracy and it's soft shooting.

It will lead to more.............

I own an older CZ-75, bought new thru the back door (Canada) when the makers were still rotten commies. It is a superbly accurate weapon and very comfortable allowing for the relatively large grip diameter.

It will be going to the range today, pics to follow. I am so far very happy with this pistol, range time will seal the deal I am sure.
I did not get a spent case with this pistol and thought CZ sent a test target with their pistols, I received neither.

I had 2, figuring to have a spare when the 1st wore out. Sold that one, was like new after maybe 10K rds. Still have this one. The Kadet kit was less than $200 way back, not so today. Guarantee you will love it. Be careful lowering the "ring hammer" with your off-hand thumb. I did that last week and still have a scab from the slide, slipping down from doing S/A,D/A "transition drill." Joe

With all that is going on these days .22 conversion kits are a great alternative ...... I've got a Kadet, Beretta 92 conversion and a Ciner for my Browning HP.

Will be breaking into my bulk .22 ammo stash come spring.......

Congrats on making a excellent purchase.

I waited around three decades to get a pistol in 9 mm. I found a new still unshot cz85bd in 9 mm in the used gun case for $300. After shooting it I went after the cz82’s & cz83’s. I like the double action first shot.

The CZ-75's are great pistols, I have a 75BD and a 75D PCR.

As good as they are, they have a weak spot that needs improvement... the firing pin retaining pin. The factory one is a roll pin that is prone to developing a grove in it from the firing pin hitting it, eventually causing a failure.

A solid pin from CZ custom or a hardened roll pin from Cajun Gun Works are inexpensive solutions and easy to install.

Made it to the range, more than happy with the CZ.
Ordered spare parts for the range bag, this gun is to much fun for down time. Can't wait to be as accurate as this gun( Never going to happen)
the target is from only 7 yards doing the transition drill, one shot DA the next SA 5 times for ten rounds.
only had 40 rounds, it ate my reloads no problems. Now to pull the handle a couple hundred times so next range trip we can get to work..

I had a huge grin reading this. I've read so many times that the worst thing about the DA/SA is the variation in trigger from first to second pull is hard to master and messes up accuracy.
I've never had that problem on my DA/SA CZs, and you just smoked that statement BIG TIME on your first outing.
Enjoy your new CZ, and don't forget, if you really want to make it a good shooter (tongue in cheek), there is customization from Cajun Gunworks and CZ Custom.

bigwheelzip
that target should be spun 90 so the dime was right side up if that makes sense. The lower shots were the DA and the higher shots were the SA.
this is what I did
wished I had more rounds but I wanted to make sure my reloads worked before loading up a few hundred

Considering the 3-dot OEM sights on most CZ-75s are pitiful, you did fabulous.

+1 I have a "Cajunized" Rami that's just great. Haven't done it on the 75-BD or the SP-01 (yet)

I changed the factory sights on both my CZ 75BD and 75D PCR to the Truglo TFX Pro tritium and fiber optic sights.

A big improvement, and being a combination of tritium night sights and fiber optic day sights, when the tritium goes dim, they can still live on as a fiber optic sight.

I found this video that does a good job showing them:
