I am thinking about a Thompson Center G2 22 single shot rifle. I like the wood stock one and am also thinking about a muzzle loader barrel for it. They want a lot of money for this 22. Is it worth it? Are they accurate? Howe are the trigger pulls on these guns?

Thanks

We've owned and shot a Thompson T/C 22 Classic for several years. Excellent weapon.

+1 on the Classic.

I keep telling myself that I want a Benchmark, but why? It's the same action.

I had an older Contender that had a .22lr Bullberry match barrel. I worked the trigger down to 14oz, topped it with a 50x scope. I used it as my sleeper at my clubs 22 fun shoots. Using RWS R50 it would consistently out shoot the heavy target rifles like my Walther UIT Supermatch, the Winchester 52s, Anschutz 54s, and Remingtons. I won so much money with that little 7 pound giant killer and still regret selling it to this day. As soon as the kids are out of the house I will put together another one.

Bull Berry 18" 22 LR Match, Bull Berry utility wood. Great little gun. This and my 22 Hornet are my favorites.

I have a Classic - I´m happy with it.
I also have a .22 CZ - no worries with either one.

Thanks for all the great info. I see the trigger is adjustable. How do you adjust it? Is it pretty simple to get a 3 or 3 1/2 lb pull?
