I only recently got my first decent .22 revolver. It's a Ruger LCRx with a 3" bbl. I've only put 1K rounds or so through it so far with probly tens of thousands of nightly dry fires.
Super heavy DA trigger, light gun...if I'm not on my game, this gun will definitely let me know. It has done a fair bit to help me improve my revolver skills. The trigger is becoming much smoother and lighter with use. I might become the first guy ever to call Ruger up and ask them to make my trigger heavy and gritty again.
Incidentally, my whole family and all my friends hate this poor lil guy. For me though, it's easily one of the funnest guns I own.

My 18 and my 22A are both excellent shooters. When my dad passes I'll get his Iver Johnson 6" target. I have to say again, that there is very little on this earth as fun as a .22 revolver and a pocket full of shells.

Who Loves .22 Revolvers?
No picture exists but suffice to say I love to shoot 22 revolvers. The favorites are definitely 6” K-22’s like this one from 1952.

My 17 in the middle. I also have Ruger Single six. Both are super fun. The Ruger also shoots magnums which adds a little more fun.

I have one I inherited from my dad, but I've never shot it and it's still at my parents' house. When I get around to taking possession of it I'll probably take it out for a spin at the range.
Never really had an interest in .22 revolvers, though I do think it'd be nice to get a S&W 43C as a companion to my 642s.

I guess I could post my other 22 revolver. It's a S&W 35-1. I think it looks pretty awright for a 50 year old gun. It definitely shoots a darn sight better than my LCRx, but....for some weird reason, I like the crudeness of the Ruger.

In college, after qualifying for a pistol permit, all I could afford was a Ruger Old Model Single Six. Got a new one. Still have it and it will be the last to go.
Added many more variants as the years went by and I had a real job. As an oldster I finally got a K-22. The best one yet.
Last year I found a matched pair of Ruger Mavericks. Not the best, but an awesome pair to add tom my collection.

Nice group, D Brown.
Here are a couple of my favorites. A 4" 617-1 and 5.5" Single Six. I'd love to have J Frame 22, haven't caught up with one yet.

Everybody, and I mean everybody, needs at least one .22 revolver.
Skeeter Skelton said that his idea of a perfect trail gun was one that with 50 rounds of ammunition would make a package small enough and light enough that you were unaware of its presence until you needed it.
To me, that's a .22 revolver. It fits comfortably on the belt, or in a tackle box, or in your saddle bags without taking up much room.
Here are a few of mine that have seen plenty of action.
A little Ruger Bearcat.
Smith and Wesson Model 34-1
And of course, the Ruger Single Six.

My favorite 22lr revolver is the Colt Officers Model Special, 4th issue. It is the most accurate 22 revolver I own, maybe the most accurate gun I own. It's the top one in the left photo, shown with its 38 Special sibling. Made from 1949-52. My latest acquisition is the K-22 Outdoorsman from 1939, in the right photo. I have not taken it to the range yet, but I'm looking forward to it. It is one beautiful gun. I also have a 1953 K-22 Combat Masterpiece and a 1966 model 17-2. Both terrific revolvers. Sorry, no photos of those two.

Love my .22 revolvers! Wish I knew how to add photos to the message body instead of these silly attachments but here are mine. In order left to right: my 3.5" Model 43, my Model 18-3, my Model 63 No Dash which is really a 63-1, my EAA Combo Bounty Hunter, and lastly and probably leastly is my Taurus 991SS6 6.5" .22 Mag revolver. The 43 is probably my favorite but the 63 would be a close 2nd. The 18 is so nice I don't even shoot it. Love 'em all.

22 Revolvers
I shouldn’t even post this, but I just can’t get into 22 revolvers. I have my dad’s old H&R revolver that I could never hit anything with. Over the years I have had 2 S&W model 18’s. They were very high quality revolvers, and I could shoot pretty well with them. But one had the dreaded tight chambers.
Just to clarify, I love 22 automatics and have a Colt Woodsman Sport and
a Beretta 89 Target. And I had a nice S&W model 41 I sold a few years ago.
And I have several center fire S$W revolvers that I really like. I just prefer my 22’s to be automatics and my center fires to be revolvers. Willyboy.

Only .22 revolver I have is a M48-4, K22 Masterpiece Magnum. Would love to find a .22LR cylinder for it, but NBD, I have a Ruger .22/45 Mk.III in .22LR. Not a revolver, but still fun to shoot.

Also from the not a revolver but still fun to shoot department is this Walther/Colt 1911 .22LR Rail Gun. Load up them mags and let her rip. Without breaking the bank I might add.

A 1931 K-22 and 1975 34-1 hard chromed getting some range time. I don't really care much for SA .22s, but love the swing-outs.
And a 1933 Colt OMT to boot.

I have more revolvers in .22 RF than any other caliber so I guess it's my favorite caliber. I like the cost of ammo and no reloading. Larry

My K22 is the nicest gun I own, especially since I can hit center of target from 25 yard line! It was my dad's. I recently bought one of those little Heritages and a magnum cylinder, but it's just a toy. It shoots straight, though. I like the .22 rifle, too. Shoot them all day for a few dollars.

I always have a .22 l.r. handgun in the range bag and most often it is a revolver. The first Korth that I bought is also my favorite revolver but lately a S&W 17-2 that had been shortened is my range companion. The hammer spur had broken off and was cut and contoured by the former owner and I changed the ejector rod and installed a new one since the original one had no finish at all left. I also put some smaller grips on it because it will soon go to my daughter in law, who has really small hands.

I'm a fan of .22 revolvers:
Smith & Wesson Model 18:
!980's vintage Ruger Single Six:
1968 vintage Colt Diamondback, a recent acquisition:
I have decent holsters for these revolvers as well, Bianchi's for the Smith and Ruger, an El Paso Saddlery being made now for the Diamondback....

My H&R Sportsman was my grandfathers. (It is the bottom one in the "top break photo".) It is the first handgun I ever fired, and fired, and fired !!!! My grandfather was a cracker jack hunter. He carried the H&R for stationary small game and "coup de grace" on larger game. He carried a well worn double shotgun that was choked IC/Mod. During deer season, he had a slug in the IC barrel. Deer were not common in our area in the early 60s when I hunted with him but he and I both bagged one on occasion. There is no telling how many rabbits and squirrels went on the table thanks to the Sportsman 22 revolver. My first cousin was a year younger than me and he hunted with us. He has the double gun.
One of my best and last memories of my grandfather was watching him walk toward the car along an old logging road in the National Forest near where we all grew up. The leaves had turned on the hardwoods and framed him. He was wearing a brown checked flannel shirt and a stained tan canvas coat with a rear rubberized game pocket. The tip of the holster of the H&R hung below the coat on his right. His grey felt fedora was cocked to the left and the double was in the crook of his elbow. He was 83. It was our last hunt together for the three of us although we didn't know it at the time. He went to the great hunting ground in the sky at 84.
I also have the fedora. I also have a 34, 63, and 18 Smiths. They're better guns but none are tied to my heart like the H&R.
A few years ago my first cousin and I went to Alaska fishing. Granddad was with us in spirit. He would have loved it.

I only have 1 .22 revolver. 17-2 from 1964. When I saw it, it was Buy it Now! Lost out on too many nice ones. Was amazed at the accuracy also. Came with "rubber grips" I had found these diamonds for it. Wouldn't mind a few more 22's. Bob
