I am attending a gun auction in my area soon and saw that they had a Remington 760 pump rifle for
sale. It is probably a late 70's or early 80's rifle in .35 Rem. caliber and seems to be in really
nice original condition overall. I would like to bid on it, but not sure what one of these rifles
is worth today. I know that I have not seen alot of them in this caliber at the shows. Does anyone
know what these rifles are selling for these days? Thanks!

I wouldn't think .35 Rem would be as popular in the 760 pump as other caibers, I'm thinking $350-400.

I inherited this one in 30-06 from my dad. He shot his last nice buck with it at 87 years old.
Now, I have many other fine rifles with scopes, and finaly got around to checking this one out at the range last year. Instant respect!
His old peep was right on, gun is accuarte and light. You could do far worse if the "day" ever comes! Why do people think they need to spend $1,500 on a ELB anyway?

350-375 unless local demand for some reason pushes it higher.
What's an ELB?

Meant to write EBR, evil black rifle. The pump is almost as fast as a semi auto for aimed repeat shots, is powerfull in 30-06. I just dont see the big advantage in a $1,500 semi auto military style that weighs twice as much.

I carried a borrowed Rem 760 in .30-06 on my first deer hunt in Utah. Didn't get a deer, but it shot like a million dollars. I would go for on in the $300-$400 range. Nice rifles.

Thanks alot fellows! That really helps out. I have seen them sell for $5-600 on Gunbroker and I just
thought too much for one of them. I really like the .35 and they've been real popular here in WV for
years. I'll go to the auction and see how things turn out. The first part of this sale saw the guns go
pretty high and some were really not that good as far as condition. We'll see what happens!
