I found it on the big auction site.
Seller had no information so maybe that is why there were no other bidders?
I waited until the end and made the required min bid.
Have some investigating to do.

That one will need a letter. Look it over carefully as the engraver may have signed it. My gut feeling says it isn't factory engraved, but then again I did have Krystals for lunch so my stomach may not be reliable lol. Either way a beautiful gun.

That was my first thought too.
Regardless, it's a very nice Colt.
Thanks for sharing it.

Cute little Vest Pocket!
If there’s a Mrs. csurp, you better not let her see it....
Mrs. chad would commandeer that in a heart beat.

I have a shooter grade 1908 .25 and shoot it for fun every now and then. They are cool little pistols. It will be interesting if you can dig up any back story on yours. Keep us posted.

Not a Mrs. but a SO whose first comment was, that looks like a ladies gun.
We will see.

That's really cool! Regardless of who engraved it or what its history is, that's a real gem and it should be treasured as such.

She's a beauty. The 1908 is a problem gun for me. I can't seem to walk by them at a gun show. I have more examples then I'm willing to admit. None that pretty. Maybe u need to drop off one at Jeff's.

I'm wondering if it might have been a Generals or some other high ranking officers pistol ? Or a senator or congressman's ? I bet it has an awesome history .

I agree with merl67. The scroll cut and border decoration are a style Jeff cuts quite often.
Here's another by Jeff on a Colt 1903 Hammerless also gold plated with the same style cuts and (faux)MOP grips. (closed auction)
Colt 1903 Hammerless 32 auto,Jeff Flannery mast... for sale

Jeff Flannery's office confirmed that it is one of his projects done in the last 10-15 years.
That is certainly a bonus!
