Rainy Day Guns
I was given the opportunity to go shooting this morning, and I decided to go rain or shine. There were supposed to be showers throughout the day, and that's never stopped me before. But, just in case, I took two of my most durable, along with a blued RBH in .45 Colt, and it did sprinkle a little bit. So, it was a big-bore Wednesday, and here are the two of mine that I consider most impervious to rain:

a day at the range beats working, even in the rain.

I’m pretty low key on the damp days. You’ll probably find me dragging out a Glock and an AR.

The trick is to keep them hot enough to keep the water boiling off. Shoot faster.

Ohio has 6 or more state ranges with 25/50/100 yard ranges with covered covered shooting benches and covered areas for prone shooting, a few of those ranges have 200 yards also. I have shot in the pouring rain without getting rain on my guns.
Some of the shooting benches are wood and some are concrete tops on a "U" shaped pedestal! In cold weather I put a "MY Little Buddy" propane heater inside the "U". It keeps you very comfortable a 5 to 10 degrees F! Days like that you have the range pretty much to yourself!

Good-looking revolvers! I have one of those 4.2" .44Mag Redhawks on my to-buy list.
The only other good thing about going to the range when it's raining is that there are usually fewer people to run their mouths.

Thanks!
These are the places I shoot- the first is for pistol and short-range rifle, the second is 100 yards, and I shoot rifle and handgun there. They are both about a half-hour away, only in opposite directions. I've never had to share either with anyone. And to anyone who wonders- yes, there's a hill just inside the treeline behind that first one!

Nice range pics for a rainy day.
Get it over with quick ... dip them both in a a bucket of water.
If they fire after that ... your ammo is as good s your guns !

We are having a rainy day today and I am torn with going trouting (they are biting like mad) or going to shoot the new CZ, I might flip a coin or do both if I can get away with it.

Reminds me of Dad, (RIP). If he had a day off work and the range was open, he'd go, regardless of weather.

I like going to the range if its raining ( unless a downpour). No one else there.
