CZ 82. I would probably settle for a CZ 83. I haven’t really been looking, but if one presented itself at anywhere near the right price, I would grab it.

For me its a pristine Mannlicher-Shoenauer 1903 mountain carbine in 6.5X54. Missed one at auction a few years back when I was feeling a bit financially embarrassed. They were advertised "Fur das Alpine Jaeger"; they are light, fast handling, with a cartridge akin a 30-30 on steroids.

Just cant bring myself to spend that kinda money on a gun. Have come close several times, most recently on a Krieghoff. Was a heck of a deal but was still too much

I have always wanted a Winchester Model 52 Sporter .22 bolt action rifle. However I've watched the prices climb over the years to the point that I would need to pay several thousand $$ for one in nice condition . A very nice rifle but worth way more than I could justify paying.

At one time I owned many of the guns listed. Problem was, once obtained I came up with another want. My grail guns changed as quickly as the Nazi enigma machine, daily. Far from rich I traded them in on the next want. Pawn shop REM 30s fifty bucks. AH fox 16 gauge 2bbl set 150 bucks. Pre divorce I had 5 AHFoxs, 6 Parker’s, Cogswell & Harrison 375HH, 10 M 70s, a bunch of M12s and many revolvers like early 29s. Al of these were found hitting small gunshots or pawn shops and gun shows.
Now as I am staring the age of 75 in the face I sold most of my post divorce collection. Still have rifles, 4 Kimbers, 2 SWs k22 and a no dash 66, kimber target match 1911, colt over an Essex frame that is a super shooter, Dads Ruger SS 4.75 3 screw and more
My only got to have it gun was a Kimber made in Yonkers 22lr. Found one last fall. And a Kimber Montana in 243. Dropped a nice buck at 360 yards with it. So my last 2 wants have been satisfied very well.

Marlin 336, pre-safety in 30-30 or 35 Rem.
Now it seems that I may be too late. Prices on pre-safety Marlin lever guns is going nuts.
Time to hit the pawn shops and start looking for one that slipped through the cracks or I won’t ever have one.

The Klingon hole doesn’t matter it’s still a s&w. Probably my last gun purchase.

One. Seriously.
27-2 3.5 would be first.
But there's more.
Lots more.

3" J-frame, pre Hillary hole preferable, preferably blued. Had a super nice Square butt model, should have kept it - But I may get a modern Model 60
Vintage blued .22lr revolver snubnose
Colt Detective special in decent shape
Smith and Wesson governor or Taurus Judge
SVT40
I have been slowly wittling away at my want list for years, it keeps getting shorter, then adding another

I have been after a PSP (PA STATE POLICE) Ruger Security Six .357MAG with provenance for a number of years. The Ruger represents the last revolver used as a duty weapon by PSP before the adoption of the Beretta 96D in .40S&W. Very difficult to find for some reason.

I am fortunate in that I have fulfilled all my gun wishes over the last 20 years. With a passion for custom single action revolvers that has been my area of focus. In fact, I just recently started letting some of these guns go to new owners so someone else can enjoy them.

I started this with pretty much the same attitude as biku324. On further reflection, finding a Savage 99 in .300 (I've had a .250, a .243 and multiple .308s), a Ruger #3 in .30-40 (had .22 Hornet and .45-70) or a #1 International in 7x57 at a price I could afford would be a treat, but none have been a quest.

EMPI, about 25 years ago, bought a Win 52 (B?) in .22, new, put a 4 power scope on it, still have the box and manual, and it will shoot CCI MiniMag at 100m yards in a one inch circle. $500 or so as I recall. They really are a superb .22 target rifle. Plus, they really look nice, too. They do see to rather costly nowadays. SF VET

I remember (not completely sure) Navy Arms offering a trapdoor carbine chambered in 45 Colt back in the 1980's? ... I would love to see one and buy one someday...

The gun at the top of my list, that I have a realistic chance of eventually getting, is the Model 520 NYSP. I have seen precisely one for sale, but was unfortunately broke at the time.
The gun I do not have a realistic chance of getting, but really want, is a 1928 Thompson. I’ll need to win the lottery to afford the Thompson.

I have been looking for this revolver for about 3 years. There are not many of them in the US since there is not a current distributor for them. I finally scored it a couple of weeks ago.

I have held one 16-4 in my hand, owned by a friend. I have not seen another in person for sale though I have only been looking since 2004.
Another one I saw at a range but have not seen since is a Dan Wesson in 45 Colt 6". From the way it shot I would pull out the plastic in a hurry.

I won’t know it till I see it.
Then I’ll have to have it.
But also a Sig P220 Match Elite with a Robert Burke trigger job or an Alchemy Custom Prime Elite spec’d out to my preferences.

One of mine is about to be on its way to me. I have a 4" model 24-3 with box and docs, and have been looking for one in 6.5" that I was willing to lays down the Benjamins for. Well, yesterday I found it on another forum. As new in the box, likely unfired since the factory, 3Ts, and reasonably priced. I did not hesitate. I'll post pics when it arrives.

Very interesting thread.I am fortunate to have owned or still own many of the treasures listed. While always focused on S&W`s I liked them all.Working part time in a busy gun shop for 35 years with a lot of trade traffic helped me acquire many of my wants. The only S&W I have searched for and yet to see is a model marked (Model 20) 38-44 heavy duty in blue or nickel, maybe someday.

A
Model 27, 3.5" barrel. I may even settle for a M28 and change over to the 3.5" m27 barrel, if I can find any of the parts necessary to make the conversion.
