Picked up an apparent early set of Guy Hogue grips. They are two piece with the islands on the back side. They have a closed back-strap, only one finger-groove and do not have a flair on the bottom. The rosewood cleaned up quite nice.
I contacted Pat Hogue at Hogue Inc., Guy's son. He said they looked like his dad's work, looked to be Brazilian Rosewood and that he likely made them in the mid 1970's.
