P228 Nickel W.German
This morning I visited a new LGS and spied a W. German nickel P228 tucked away in the corner of the display case. Overall it’s in about 97%+ with box and 2 nickel zipper-back mags.

I feel like that’s a decent price on a not to often seen finish for a Sig p series!

Beautiful gun. That is the last (and only) issued gun I carried. We were not issued guns at that time. In my small 50 member department we purchased 3 nickel 228's for the Chief, Captain and myself. We loved them and were going to purchase them for everyone. Unfortunately gun selection was used as a negotiation tool with the union and Glocks were chosen.
That was the correct box ours came in. Three nickel mags and Trijicon night sights. I really miss mine.

I have a West German P228 that, other than the finish, is identical to yours. It's accurate and has never malfunctioned. By never, I mean never! It has handled anything I fed it. That kind of rock solid performance is a huge confidence builder. I hope you will shoot and enjoy your new pistol.
