Conroe Gun Show
Went today and got some 12 ga. slugs for less that $2 per round, that was all I bought.
Interesting to witness a guy buying a 4" blued Trooper MK3 for $1500. The dealer hyped it by telling him it was a "pre python" which is a lie as those are the 357's and the earlier troopers that locked up bank vault tight on a cocked hammer, which the MK3 does not.
Did the guy over pay like I think, or are the garden variety Troopers really bringing that kind of money, now?

Didn’t make it up myself, also working fence and yard work. Was the show busy or a normal crowd?

It was a little more flea-markety than last couple of Conroe shows. Fewer guns, more other stuff. Seems to be a trend at gun shows around here.

I’d say he overpaid a good bit! I have a probably 98 to 99 percent Mkiii and if I was offered anywhere near $1,000, I’d think I hit the lottery.

The Conroe shows have a lot of the same dealers as the Pasadena shows, but there are a few more serious folks with harder to find (older) stuff that I only see in Conroe. I even found a Model 3923 magazine at the last one that I went to. I try to make a few every year. The last Pasadena show two weeks ago was also near capacity. $1,500 for a Colt? No, I could get a nicer S&W for less than that.
